Continue to the ancient city of Cusco, uncovering hidden gems and cultural treasures beyond Machu Picchu. Your journey culminates in Puno and the shores of Lake Titicaca, where pre-Columbian history, living traditions, and breathtaking high-altitude landscapes come together for an unforgettable exploration of Peru’s rich heritage.
Itinerary
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL TO LIMA, TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Upon arriving in Lima city, our attentive representative will warmly greet you at the airport, ensuring a seamless transfer to your hotel in the lively districts of Miraflores or Barranco. These two vibrant areas serve as exceptional cultural hubs, bustling with theaters, cinemas, and art galleries, providing an ideal setting for your first night’s stay. Both districts offer the perfect ambiance to relax and revitalize, preparing you for the incredible journey ahead. Tonight is dedicated to unwinding and energizing for the remarkable adventures awaiting you.

DAY 2 - TUC-TUC & PERUVIAN FOOD EXPERIENCE
An authentic local travel experience and culinary adventure, in a part of Lima very few travelers explore.
We start the adventure with a short drive to Chorrillos. From there we will change things up and hop into the tuc-tuc, (a motorcycle taxi known informally as a «MotoTaxi» in Spanish) that will provide a fun perspective of Lima. We then travel along a coastal road stopping for great panoramic views of Lima and the Pacific Ocean. Seeing such beautiful sights will definitely give you an appetite, and you will be ready for a mind-blowing Peruvian lunch in one of the local’s favorite eating spots.
After your delicious feast, we’ll take a walking tour of Barranco. It is the best way to get to know one of Lima’s artsy districts known for its colonial-style buildings, bohemian lifestyle and a unique south-facing location, while hearing stories you won’t ever find in a guidebook. We finish our ultimate Lima food tour by adding a sweet touch of Peruvian chocolate and desserts while overlooking this picturesque neighborhood.
This is one of the most unique and delicious experiences to be had in Lima! Tonight we rest well after our busy city adventure for tomorrow we meet the Andes!

DAY 3 - FLIGHT TO CUSCO AND DRIVE TO THE SACRED VALLEY - LUNCH AT HACIENDA HUAYOCARI
After a hearty breakfast, we will drive to Lima airport, all set to catch a flight that will whisk us away to the incredible city of Cusco.
Once we gather at the airport, we break away from Cusco and descend into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. While still at a considerable altitude, 2800m (9290 ft), spending our first day in the Sacred Valley is a good way to acclimatize, allowing our bodies to adjust to the potential dizzying heights of the Andean Mountain range.
On our way to Urubamba, we will stop at Pisac to spend some time walking around its unique and artisanal market, where we can appreciate or buy the different crafts that are handmade in this town.
After Pisac’s wonders, enjoy lunch at Hacienda Huayoccari. Explore the on-site museum in a stunning landscape for a memorable experience. The hacienda welcomes travelers to flower-filled patios, orchid-filled terraces, and rooms adorned with art. Dive into traditional hospitality in a Cusquenian family’s home.
If requested we can organize an exclusive Peruvian Paso horse demonstration, learning about horse dynamics and riding safety, adding a unique dimension to your visit at Casa Hacienda Huayoccari.

Later, we’ll head to our hotel in the Sacred Valley. Relax, relish good food, and savor the surroundings.

DAY 4 - MARAS SALT PANS, TERRACES OF MORAY AND PACHAMANCA
Today, we embark on a journey to unique Peruvian sites. We hope to catch glimpses of the majestic snow-capped Urubamba Mountain range as we travel.
Our stops include the fascinating Salinas de Maras, ancient salt pans terraced in a red clay canyon. Next, we’ll explore the circular Inca ruins of Moray, a site for agricultural experiments. Afterward, we head towards the Inca town of Ollantaytambo for a traditional lunch.
Ollantaytambo & the Hotel El Albergue for `pachamanca` a traditional style of Peruvian cooking. Here we offer an authentic experience with an organic farm, hosting a Pachamanca Farm Lunch. We have the chance to visit a Cañazo distillery and coffee roasting facility with tastings.
After enjoying our memorable lunch, we can relax and enjoy the accommodations of the Lodge.

DAY 5 - UNVEILING ANCIENT MARVELS: OLLANTAYTAMBO AND MACHUPICCHU TIME
After breakfast, we will walk through Ollantaytambo and marvel at these extraordinary well preserved village. Located around a quiet square, famous for its peaceful charm. The little-altered layout of the town offers an unprecedented look into the way of life of its ancient people: the Incas. Even the street names are original.
Then we will take the train to Aguas Calientes to visit the enigmatic Machupicchu. As the train progresses, the valley turns into a canyon and the landscape changes as the cloud forest begins to appear as you approach the Machupicchu Sanctuary. The train will disembark in the town of Aguas Calientes.
After lunch, while other people start to leave, we will embark on our exploration of Machupicchu and visit some of the most important places in the archaeological site.
Our guide will guide us in our exploration and discovery of the many curious corners within the Citadel of Machupicchu. The guided tour will last an average of 2 hours. There will be plenty of time for photos and enjoyment.
After a memorable time, we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to our hotel in Ollantaytambo or similar.

DAY 6 - TEXTILE EXPERIENCE & SACSAYHUAMAN TOWARDS CUSCO
We’ll start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out on a scenic drive to the shores of Lake Piuray. Nestled in a quiet village and surrounded by the breathtaking peaks of the Andes, the Pumaq Wasin workshop is dedicated to preserving and sharing the ancestral art of natural dyeing — using native plants and traditional techniques passed down for generations in the Cusco region.
To begin the experience with intention, the women of the community invite guests to take part in a short offering to the spirit of Laguna Piuray, giving thanks for the plants, water, and fibers that make this beautiful craft possible.
Then, spend the morning with the Pumaq Wasin dye masters, learning how to identify local dye plants, process them using ancestral methods, and create a range of vibrant, all-natural colors. It’s a hands-on, heart-centered experience rooted in nature, tradition, and connection.
After a lunch by the lake, we’ll depart from Piuray and begin our journey toward Cusco. On the way, we’ll make a special stop at Sacsayhuamán for a guided visit of this remarkable Incan archaeological site. Marvel at the massive stonework, hear stories of its history and cultural significance, and enjoy the stunning views before continuing on to your hotel in the city.

DAY 7 - SIGHTSEEING THE CITY OF CUSCO AND COOKING LESSONS
Our great day in Cusco begins in earnest today with a fine exploration of the historic quarters of this City.
As we spend the morning walking through some of the most beautiful streets of Cusco, we will explore the old bohemian quarter of San Blas, famous for its picturesque white walls and blue doors and its historically artisan community.
On the other side of Cusco we will find the San Pedro market, a Cusqueñan institution, not to be missed. Famous for its tantalizingly exotic fresh fruits and vegetables, mouth-watering juices (too many to choose from), and its natural medicinal herb stalls.
For lunch we embark on a fully hands-on cooking class that promises to immerse you in the world of Peruvian cuisine. For 1.5 hours each guest will learn about the history of Peruvian gastronomy and kitchen concepts, prepare a tropical beverage, and enjoy two of Peru’s most emblematic dishes: ceviche and lomo saltado.
Onwards after our culinary lessons we go down to the magnificent temple of Koricancha. Originally dedicated to the Sun God «Inti» and said to have been the most important temple in the Inca Empire.
This evening, we’re in for a delightful dinner marking our farewell to Cusco as early the next day we head towards Puno Region. It will be a special dinner altogether to share and reminisce about the wonderful experiences we had in what was the most significant and spiritual area for the Andean ancestors, founders of the Imperial Capital of Cusco.

DAY 8 - FROM CUSCO TO PUNO
During our journey to Puno today, we’ll encounter captivating stops along the way. Our route takes us through The Village of Oropesa, celebrated for its delightful sweet bread—a local delicacy that’s well worth trying if you missed it in Cusco.
As we journey, we’ll pause at the colonial church of Andahuaylillas. Not only is it historically significant, but the town’s quaint square and authentic Andean vibe add a remarkable dimension. Enjoy the view of the ancient Pisonay trees in the square!
Later, we’ll relish a fantastic meal at a family-run ranch known for crafting the beloved Cusqueno cheese, creating an authentic culinary experience. Then, if time allows, we’ll make a detour to explore a rock forest of Tinajani featuring impressive formations.
Our path leads us to Puno, where Fundo Chincheros awaits. This 19th-century ranch, just a short 20-minute drive from Puno, offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by llamas, alpacas, and a tranquil natural reserve spread across 125 hectares, inviting visitors to engage in farm activities or simply unwind in nature.
Once we arrive to the Fundo, savor a invigorating dinner as we gear up for an enchanting exploration of the scenic Lake Titicaca area tomorrow.

DAY 9 - THREE ENCHANTING ISLANDS
Embark on an extraordinary adventure starting from the Fundo Chincheros. After breakfast, we’ll transport you to the harbor, and embark on a visit to three islands where the captivating living cultures and traditions endure: Uros, Taquile and Amantaní.
At our first stop, we’ll swing by the renowned Uros Reed Islands. Get ready for a tour and an inside look at the fascinating way of life of the folks living there. Then, it’s off to Taquile Island to dive into their vibrant culture and explore their fantastic textiles.
After indulging in a flavorful local lunch in Taquile, our journey continues to the charming Amantani Island, which is where we overnight.
Amantani offers an extraordinary opportunity to spend an unforgettable night living the authentic life with a local family. Immerse yourself in the simplicity and cultural opulence of the island, crafting memories that will endure.

Day 10 - AMANTANI TO PUNO AND SILLUSTANI - BACK TO LIMA
From Amantaní Island after savoring a delightful traditional breakfast with the local community, our journey leads us back to Puno.
Upon our return, we’ll save some time to relish a delicious farewell lunch in the city before embarking on an exploration of the Sillustani Archaeological Site. Delve into the enigmatic history of the region, marveling at the ancient Chullpas—tower-like structures—dating back to the Tiahuanaco and Inca periods.
From Juliaca Airport, nearby Puno, we’ll head to Lima in the evening. After this incredible 10-days experience, we can be proud to have had the opportunity to enjoy «The beauty of the South» of this magic country called Perú!!!
