Itinerary

Day 1: TERRACES OF YUCAY HIKE

Begin your morning in the heart of the Sacred Valley, beneath the imposing Pisonay tree in Yucay’s main plaza, home to the world’s largest corn that only grows in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Your journey starts by exploring the impressive, still-utilized terraces behind the plaza. Along the trail, discover ancient cave paintings and carved tombs hidden in the cliffs. We’ll visit the Temple of Sayri Tupac, a testament to Yucay’s past as a royal Inca retreat.

The path follows a serene channel stream flowing from the snow-capped San Juan mountain. Immerse yourself in nature, accompanied by the sound of running water and breathtaking valley views from atop the terraces. After approximately two hours, your hike concludes at Yucay’s other charming plaza, where private transportation awaits to take you back to your hotel.
