Pullman cars of the 1920s. As the train winds through the Andes and into the cloud
forest, you’ll admire the lush landscapes through panoramic windows, enjoy live music,

Be sure to visit the open-air observatory car, where you can feel the Andean breeze
and watch the dramatic transition from mountainous terrain to the vibrant greenery that
surrounds Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a short bus ride will take you to the gates of one of the
world’s wonders: Machu Picchu. Accompanied by your private guide, you’ll cross the
sanctuary’s entrance and come face to face with the awe-inspiring Inca citadel, which
emerges and disappears among the clouds like an ancient secret guarded by the
mountains.
During your personalized tour, you’ll explore the site’s stone structures, terraces,
temples, and pathways—uncovering its history, architectural genius, and spiritual
essence with the insight of an expert guide.
After the visit, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay. Enjoy an exquisite

of the cloud forest near Aguas Calientes. Then, lace up your hiking boots: if you’re

Andean postcard view.
The hike—challenging yet deeply rewarding—offers a unique perspective of the citadel
from above, revealing the grandeur of this Inca marvel from an entirely different angle.
The views, the energy of the place, and the remarkable engineering of the steep trail
make this experience truly unforgettable.
After your climb, enjoy a comforting lunch before returning to Aguas Calientes, where
you can unwind in the exclusive Belmond waiting lounge as you wait for your return
train. Once aboard the Hiram Bingham, end your day in style: a gourmet dinner will be
served on board, accompanied by live Andean music, making your journey back an
