DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Welcome to Lima!
A representative from Peru Ozzie Travel will be waiting to greet you at the international
airport with a warm welcome and accompany you directly to your hotel. We’ll take care
of all the check-in formalities to ensure your arrival is as smooth and stress-free as
possible.

The first stop on our Lima city tour is Huaca Puccllana , a huge archaeological site in
Miraflores ,one of the Lima’s most popular districts. Huaca Pucllana as an important
ceremonial and administrative center of the Lima culture, which developed along this
part of the Peruvian Coast between 200 AD and 700 AD.This sacred place was built
from seven staggered platforms surrounded by a plaza and large walls. It’s a very
impressive site, and certainly not what you expect to find in lively Miraflores! After
exploring Huaca Pucllana with your bilingual guide, we’ll go to the beautiful Plaza de
Armas (Lima’s main square) which is surrounded by impressive colonial and
Republican-era building, many of which have ornate Wooden balconies. Some of Peru’s
most important buildings surround the square, including the Government Palace,
Cathedral of Lima,Archbishop’s Palace of Lima ,the Municipal Palace and the Palace of
the Union.
We’ll visit the Cathedral of Lima ,which was completed in 1649.It’s a huge structure,
with a large central nave and 14 side chapels. Inside,we’ll see the sculptures and
painting that decorate the interior. The cathedral is also home to the tomb of the
conquistador Francisco Pizarro.Next we’ll walk one block to the Convent of Santo
Domingo. Founded in the 1530s and completed in 1766,it is one of the most important
religious buildings in Peru ,and its large bell tower is a landmark in the historic center of
Lima. As we walk around the interior of the convent, we’ll see the beautiful Sevillian
azulejos (ceramic tiles) that decorate the walls, dating from 1604 and 1606.There is
also a series of paintings that present passages of the life of Saint Dominic, the founder
of the Dominican order, which date to around 1608.
Next we’ll head to the private Larco Museum, which is one of the best museums in the
country. Here you can see a wide range of pre-Columbian art and artefacts, including
ceramics, textiles, metalwork and more. The museum is most famous, however, for its
incredible -and quite X-rated-gallery of pre -Columbian erotic pottery. These ceramics
display sexual acts between men and women, as well as homosexual acts, in at times
explicit detail and in various postures. At the end of the Larco Museum tour, we will
return to your hotel.

– DAY3

Fly to Cusco, located more than 11,000 feet above sea level, where you
are met and transferred to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. En route, visit

an animal sanctuary to interact with the South American camelids living there — such
as llamas and alpacas — and learn about the valuable fibers created from their coats.
Once in Pisac, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the famous local market,
full of colorful textiles, handicrafts, and fresh produce.

Later, continue to the stunning archaeological site of Pisac, where you’ll enjoy
breathtaking panoramic views and gain insight into Inca engineering, culture, and
spiritual legacy—all set in a truly spectacular landscape.

Today, you will visit the fascinating town of Ollantaytambo and its impressive ruins, the
site of one of the most significant battles of the Spanish Conquest—where the Incas
achieved a rare victory against the conquistadors.
Afterward, enjoy a three-course lunch at Hacienda Huayoccari, a traditional estate
owned by one of Cusco’s oldest landowning families. You’ll also have the chance to
explore their private collection of folk art and ancient artifacts.
In the afternoon, continue to the Maras Salt Mines, an astonishing series of terraced
salt pans fed by an underground saline spring. These salt terraces, resembling the
agricultural terraces of the Andes, have been in continuous use since pre-Columbian
times.
Nearby, you’ll explore the mysterious circular terraces of Moray, believed to have been
an Inca agricultural laboratory used to experiment with crops at different altitudes and
microclimates.

Today, you’ll experience one of the most unforgettable moments of your journey: the
ascent to the enigmatic citadel of Machu Picchu.
Your day begins with a scenic ride aboard the Vistadome train, known for its
comfortable seating and large panoramic windows that offer unobstructed views of the
stunning Andean landscape. The 1.5-hour journey from Ollantaytambo winds through
the Urubamba River canyon, surrounded by lush mountains, deep valleys, and ancient
ruins—signs that you are approaching sacred ground.
Upon arrival in the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, you’ll
board a tourist bus for a 30-minute drive up the winding mountain road to the entrance
of the historic sanctuary. The ascent provides breathtaking views of the cloud forest and
the majestic geography that surrounds this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At the summit, the legendary ruins of Machu Picchu unfold before you—the iconic “Lost
City of the Incas.” Hidden for centuries among the mountains, this archaeological
wonder is considered a masterpiece of pre-Columbian engineering and architecture. Its
agricultural terraces, sacred temples, astronomical observatories, and finely crafted
stone dwellings reflect the Inca Empire’s sophistication, cosmic understanding, and
deep spirituality.
Walking its ancient paths is like stepping back in time, as your expert guide unveils the
many mysteries that still surround this one-of-a-kind marvel.

Rise with the sun to walk through Machu Picchu in the early morning mist before the
crowds arrive, an experience some consider the spiritual highlight of the journey. After

exploring the "Lost City of the Incas,” board the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo.
Continue to Cusco, where you check in to your hotel.

This morning, discover Cusco on a city tour that includes the Cathedral on the Plaza de
Armas and the Santo Domingo Temple. Listen as a local expert explains how the
historic clashes between the Incas and the Spanish played a role in forming today's
Peruvian culture. Later, visit the well-preserved ruins of Sacsayhuaman, a testament to
Incan architectural skill. This afternoon, enjoy time at leisure to rest or shop.

This morning, our representative will meet you at your hotel to provide personalized
assistance and accompany you to the airport for your flight to La Paz, Bolivia.
Upon landing in the Bolivian capital—the highest city in the world—you’ll be warmly
welcomed by our local team and comfortably transferred to your hotel. Here begins the
next chapter of your journey, immersing you in the unique charm of Bolivia, a land of
striking contrasts, breathtaking highland landscapes, vibrant culture, and deep
indigenous heritage.

La Paz is a city where indigenous traditions, colonial heritage, and modern life
intertwine under the majestic gaze of Mount Illimani. In the morning, explore the colonial
center of the city, visiting the famous Witches’ Market and the impressive Museum of
Ethnography and Folklore. Use the cable car system—La Paz’s public transport—to
enjoy panoramic views of the city, and take the chance to taste a traditional Bolivian
snack: the savory salteña.
Enjoy lunch at Ali Pacha, a gourmet plant-based restaurant that supports local Bolivian
micro-producers. In the afternoon, tailor your visit to your interests with one of several
unique options. The most popular is a visit to the surreal Moon Valley, a natural maze of
canyons and clay formations in beige, red, and purple hues.
Alternatively, visit the Salar Galería, a contemporary art space featuring the work of
Gastón Ugalde—often called the “Andean Warhol”—or take the cable car to El Alto to
admire the colorful cholets, whimsical Andean buildings designed by renowned architect
Freddy Mamani.
For beer enthusiasts, there’s the option to visit a craft brewery that uses native Bolivian
ingredients, with a behind-the-scenes tour and guided tasting.
Your itinerary will be customized based on your preferences, so experiences may vary
accordingly.

Depart La Paz by road toward the serene Lake Titicaca. Along the way, visit a
traditional totora reed boat workshop run by the Limachi family, known for their role in
the famous Kon-Tiki expedition. Alternatively, explore the ruins of Tiwanaku, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important pre-Inca civilizations.
Upon arrival in Copacabana, nestled on the shores of Lake Titicaca, explore this
spiritual pilgrimage site and visit its beautiful 16th-century cathedral. Then, board a
motorboat and cruise across the deep-blue waters to the legendary Sun Island. Enjoy a
traditional apthapi lunch—a communal Andean meal shared among locals and visitors.
On Sun Island, take in the breathtaking views and, if you wish, hike to the ancient
Pilkocaina temple at the southern tip of the island before heading to your lodge for the
night.

Wake up by the shores of Lake Titicaca and, after breakfast, head to the village of
Yumani. Along the way, you’ll pass ancient agricultural terraces and descend the
famous “Grand Staircase,” made up of over 200 Inca steps, to drink from the Sacred
Fountain—believed to grant eternal youth and happiness.
After lunch on Sun Island, continue by private boat to Moon Island, where you’ll visit the
Sacred Temple of the Virgins of the Sun, Iñak Uyu—a ceremonial site used by pre-Inca
cultures and later by the Incas.
From there, return by boat to Copacabana and continue by road back to La Paz.

Today, you’ll visit the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat on Earth. A private transfer will
take you to the airport for your short domestic flight. Upon arrival, your guide will greet
you and begin your 4×4 journey across this surreal landscape.
Covering over 12,000 square kilometers of the Bolivian Altiplano, the Salar offers truly
spectacular scenery. In the dry season, you’ll see a dazzling crust of polygonal white
salt; in the rainy season, a thin layer of water transforms the flats into a giant natural
mirror that reflects the sky.
During the excursion, enjoy a picnic lunch out on the flats, visit the “train cemetery,” and
stop at the village of Colchani, where locals process salt using traditional methods. In
the dry season, you can also drive across the flats to reach an island dotted with giant
cacti, offering panoramic views.
In Uyuni, choose between staying in a hotel built entirely of salt bricks or a luxury
Airstream camper on the northern edge of the flats—equipped with a private bathroom,
heating, and mini-bar. Enjoy gourmet meals and cocktails prepared by your private chef
under a vast Andean sky.

Continue your journey across the astonishing Uyuni Salt Flats, a landscape that feels
otherworldly. During the dry season, the route heads north toward the quiet village of
Coquesa, set at the foot of the towering Thunupa Volcano, which rises 5,321 meters
above sea level. In the rainy season, the scenery transforms into a vast, seamless
mirror. You’ll have the chance to capture hidden lagoons like Laguna Hedionda and
Laguna Negra—home to pink flamingos and Andean wildlife—set against surreal
backdrops that will leave you breathless.
Lunch is included and will be served in a natural setting, carefully chosen to provide an
intimate connection with the landscape.
In the evening, optionally enjoy a guided stargazing session led by a professional
astronomer. Thanks to the remote location, complete absence of light pollution, and the
expansive sky, the Uyuni Salt Flats are considered one of the best places on Earth to
observe the stars. A powerful experience that connects sky, earth, and soul.

At the scheduled time, your private guide will accompany you to the local airport for
your flight to La Paz. Upon arrival, a representative from Ozzie Travel will be waiting to
assist you through the entire international check-in process and accompany you to the
boarding area, ensuring a smooth and stress-free departure.
With your heart full of unforgettable memories, we bid you farewell—until your next
adventure.

Safe travels!
