Why Peru?
From the coast to the Andes to the Amazon: Peru is endless and has it all: Intriguing culture, people, communities, living traditions and beliefs, amazing food and pisco, astounding nature, history and archaeology.
The Andes is the longest mountain range on earth. Our mountains are known to have a special energy for spiritual seekers and are home to some of the most gorgeous snow-capped peaks and hiking trails in the world. Lake Titicaca is the world’s highest navigable lake and cradle of the Inca civilization. The Colca Canyon is said to be twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, with volcanoes, geysers and condors, mummies and mighty rivers.
Our history of ancient cultures, whose legacy is spread throughout the country, offer mystery and magnificent archaeological sites, many of which are still being rediscovered and revealed.
Our Amazon is one of the most bio-diverse areas on the planet, home to unfathomable forms and systems of life and a large number of endemic species, as well as fascinating ethnic groups with centuries-old philosophies and healing traditions that are currently being recovered.
Last but not least, Peru is a phenomenal playground for outdoor enthusiasts – hiking, rafting, mountain-biking, horseback riding, kayaking, climbing, fishing and beyond. We have some of the best waves in the world for surf lovers. And then its inspiring and dynamic people, festivities, music, art, textiles… “
